Nordic Spirit uses five strength labels covering six nicotine concentrations, from 3mg to 17mg per pouch. Nordic Spirit offers two pouch formats: Moist and Dry. The Dry range includes Mint and Spearmint in Standard size and Spearmint in Mini size. Nordic Spirit also lists Dry Watermelon in its wider range. Sweet Mint and Raspberry Minis, and the Max varieties, are Moist. Both formats display their nicotine content in mg per pouch. The main differences are the pouch texture, flavour release and moisture level.

Moist pouches suit those who prefer a softer pouch and quicker flavour release. Most Nordic Spirit fruit and berry flavours are Moist, although the wider range also includes Dry Watermelon. Dry pouches have a firmer texture, produce less drip and release flavour more gradually. According to Nordic Spirit, its Dry pouches typically last 15 to 20% longer than Moist varieties.

Most Nordic Spirit flavours come in Slim pouches, also referred to as Standard by the brand. This is the same format and is available across the Regular, Strong, X-Strong and Max strength ranges.

Mini pouches are shorter and smaller than Slim pouches, offering a discreet fit under the lip. Alternix lists Sweet Mint and Raspberry Moist Minis, both labelled Mellow at 4mg per pouch, with 14 pouches per can. Nordic Spirit also makes a Spearmint Dry Mini labelled Regular at 3mg, containing 20 pouches per can; this is part of the wider brand range and is not currently listed by Alternix. Standard (Slim) cans also contain 20 pouches. Sweet Mint and Raspberry are available in Slim formats at 6mg and 9mg.

Max is Nordic Spirit’s highest-strength range, containing 17mg of nicotine per pouch. It is available in two flavours: Frosty Mint Max and Frosty Berry Max. Both come in Moist pouches, with a darker can design and six-dot strength indicator to distinguish them from the rest of the range.

The Max range is designed for experienced nicotine pouch users and is not recommended as a starting strength. Frosty Mint and Frosty Berry are also available in 9mg and 11mg options for those who prefer a lower nicotine content. Nordic Spirit is produced by Japan Tobacco International (JTI). Developed in Sweden, the brand launched in the UK in 2019 with Mint and Bergamot Wildberry before expanding into its current range of flavours, formats and strengths.

In 2026, JTI introduced updated packaging featuring a North Star logo, a dot-based strength scale and clear Moist or Dry labelling. According to JTI, the pouches, flavours and nicotine strengths remain unchanged. The Nordic Spirit Moist range was also voted Product of the Year 2026 in the nicotine pouch category, based on a Kantar survey of more than 8,000 shoppers.

Nordic Spirit offers several options for adults who prefer lower nicotine strengths, including 4mg Mellow Moist Minis and 6mg Regular Slim pouches. The brand also produces a 3mg Regular Spearmint Dry Mini, which is not currently listed by Alternix. With both Moist and Dry formats, plus a selection of mint, fruit and berry flavours, the range also suits those looking for variety in pouch texture and flavour.

For those seeking a wider selection of high-strength pouches, Nordic Spirit has more limited options. Only Frosty Mint and Frosty Berry exceed 11mg, with a maximum strength of 17mg. Brands such as KILLA and Pablo offer higher strengths. The Dry choices currently featured in the Alternix Nordic Spirit collection are predominantly mint flavours. Nordic Spirit also offers Dry Watermelon in its wider range, so check current availability if you prefer a low-drip fruit pouch.

Remove one pouch from the can and place it between your gum and upper or lower lip, slightly to one side. Nordic Spirit recommends this position for a comfortable fit. Leave the pouch in place without chewing or moving it. You may notice a tingling sensation as nicotine and flavour are released, which Nordic Spirit says usually subsides within around 15 minutes.

Moist pouches begin releasing flavour quickly, while Dry pouches take a few minutes to soften and release flavour more gradually. Nordic Spirit recommends using each pouch for up to 30 minutes, although Dry pouches may retain their flavour for longer. After use, place the pouch in the disposal compartment in the lid until you can dispose of it in a bin. Never swallow nicotine pouches.
