SNÜ Buying Guides
SNÜ keeps things simple: 10 flavours, 4 strengths, and every tub the same price at £3.95 or 3 for £10. Most flavours come in more than one strength, so you can move up or down without giving up a flavour you like. These short guides cover which strength to buy, how the flavours compare, and where who the extra strong line is suitable for.
Which SNÜ Strength Should You Buy?
We recommend you make your first SNÜ tub a 9mg or 12mg. Go to 18mg if a medium pouch from another brand no longer does much for you. The 60mg/g extra strong line works out around 45mg per pouch, and is best for experienced users only.
| Strength | Per pouch | How it feels | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 9mg | 9mg | Light tingle, gentle and steady release | Your first SNÜ tub, or all-day use |
| 12mg | 12mg | A step up you'll notice, still comfortable | Regular pouch users after a reliable middle ground |
| 18mg | 18mg | Firm hit with a sharper tingle that arrives quickly | Experienced users who find 12mg fades too soon |
| 60mg/g (Extra Strong) | About 45mg | Intense from the first minute, with a tingle that holds | Heavy nicotine users only. Among the strongest sold in the UK |
One thing to watch when comparing: the first 3 strengths are labelled in mg per pouch, but the extra strong tubs are labelled 60mg/g, which measures nicotine per gram of pouch material. A SNÜ pouch weighs about 0.75g, so 60mg/g comes out around 45mg per pouch. That's a big jump from 18mg, so move one step at a time. Because every tub is £3.95 whatever the strength, trying the next step up costs nothing extra, and flavours like Grape and Watermelon offer 3 strengths so you don't have to change taste to change dose.
Compare SNÜ Flavours
We stock 30 SNÜ products in 10 flavours, and they fall into 3 main profiles: fruit, mint and ice, and soda.
Fruit is the biggest group. Grape is a rich, dark grape, sweet and juicy. Watermelon is the light, refreshing one, Strawberry Kiwi balances sweet berry with kiwi tang, and Triple Mango layers ripe mango notes into the sweetest of the fruits. Tropical Punch mixes several tropical fruits into one blend, Wild Cherry is a ripe, full cherry, and Lemon & Lime is the zesty option for anyone who finds the rest too sweet.
Mint and ice is a short list. Fresh Mint is a sweet, cool mint that only comes in 9mg and 12mg, and Black Ice is a herbal peppermint with a hard ice finish, sold only in the extra strong line.
Then there's Cherry Cola, a fizzy cola topped with sweet cherry and the one flavour here you won't find from most pouch brands.
The SNÜ Extra Strong Line
Four flavours come in the 60mg/g extra strong format: Black Ice, Cherry Cola, Tropical Punch and Wild Cherry. At roughly 45mg per pouch, these are among the strongest nicotine pouches you can buy in the UK, above the 50mg/g tubs from the well-known strong brands, which work out around 30mg per pouch.
If you're not already comfortable on 18mg, don't start here. A good starting point: Cherry Cola, Tropical Punch and Wild Cherry all exist at 9mg, 12mg and 18mg too, so you can learn the flavour at a sensible strength before deciding whether the extra strong version is for you. Black Ice is the exception, extra strong only.
From the Makers of Bar Juice 5000
SNÜ comes from the team behind Bar Juice 5000, one of the biggest nic salt e-liquid brands in the UK. That expertise gives them the edge on flavour. Several SNÜ flavours share names with Bar Juice e-liquids, Triple Mango and Cherry Cola among them, and the whole range has a sweet, well-rounded profile e-liquid fans will recognise.
If you vape those flavours in a prefilled pod kit, SNÜ covers the places a pod kit can't go: flights, the office, anywhere you'd rather not step outside. Familiar taste, pocket-sized tub, nothing to charge.
The Most Popular SNÜ Flavours
Grape is the flavour customers come back to most, it's a safe first order that rarely disappoints. Fresh Mint follows it as a familiar staple, and Triple Mango leads the tropical side of the range.
Since the extra strong line landed, Black Ice has sold quickly with users moving over from other high-strength brands, helped by being the only pure ice flavour SNÜ makes.
What SNÜ Pouches Feel Like to Use
Every SNÜ pouch is slim format, and the size is standard on all 4 strengths. So moving up a strength changes the hit, but the pouch under your lip feels identical, which makes the range easy to explore.
Expect a light tingle in the first minute or 2 that eases as the flavour comes through. Flavour holds for 30 to 40 minutes, and the fruit flavours taste sweet, closer to an e-liquid profile than the drier, plainer taste of the Scandinavian-style brands. Each tub holds 20 pouches.
On the extra strong tubs the tingle is much more intense and takes longer to settle. That's normal at 45mg per pouch. If it doesn't ease off after a few minutes, take the pouch out and drop down a strength.
Is SNÜ the Right Brand for You?
SNÜ suits you if you like sweet, fruity flavours, want a cost efficient brand, and like the idea of adjusting strength without changing flavour. It's also a natural choice if you already know the Bar Juice 5000 taste from vaping.
It's the wrong brand if you want a gentle starting point. The lightest SNÜ is 9mg, which is a medium pouch. If you're brand new to nicotine pouches, a 1.5mg to 6mg tub from ZYN, Nordic Spirit or VELO is a better first buy. And if classic dry mints are your thing rather than sweet fruits, those brands offer more mint options too.
How to Use SNÜ Nicotine Pouches
Take a pouch from the tub and place it under your top lip, against the gum. Leave it there. No chewing and no moving it around. The tingle in the first couple of minutes is the nicotine coming through, and it fades quickly on the 9mg and 12mg tubs.
Keep it in for 30 to 40 minutes, or take it out sooner if it feels too strong. Used pouches go in the compartment in the tub lid. Never swallow a pouch.
Open the Tub:
Remove one pouch.
Place Under Your Top Lip:
Against the gum, then leave it alone.
Feel the Tingle Settle:
Firmer on the extra strong tubs. It eases after a few minutes.
30 to 40 Minutes:
Then bin it in the lid compartment.

FAQs about SNÜ Nicotine Pouches
Who makes SNÜ nicotine pouches?
SNÜ is made by the team behind Bar Juice 5000, one of the UK's biggest e-liquid brands. Several SNÜ flavours carry over from that range, which is why the taste feels familiar to anyone who vapes Bar Juice flavours. Every SNÜ pouch is tobacco-free.
What strengths do SNÜ pouches come in?
SNÜ comes in 9mg, 12mg and 18mg per pouch, plus an extra strong 60mg/g line that works out around 45mg per pouch. Most flavours are available in the first 3 strengths, and 4 flavours come in the extra strong format: Black Ice, Cherry Cola, Tropical Punch and Wild Cherry.
What does 60mg/g mean on a SNÜ tub?
It means 60mg of nicotine per gram of pouch material, which is a different measure from mg per pouch. A SNÜ pouch weighs about 0.75g, so a 60mg/g tub gives you roughly 45mg of nicotine per pouch. When comparing brands, always check whether the label shows mg per pouch or mg per gram.
Which SNÜ strength should I start with?
Start at 9mg or 12mg if this is your first SNÜ tub. Choose 18mg if you already use strong pouches from other brands. The extra strong 60mg/g tubs, around 45mg per pouch, are only for heavy, experienced nicotine users and shouldn't be anyone's first pouch.
What SNÜ flavours are available?
There are 10 SNÜ flavours: Grape, Watermelon, Strawberry Kiwi, Triple Mango, Tropical Punch, Wild Cherry, Lemon & Lime, Fresh Mint, Cherry Cola and Black Ice. Fresh Mint comes in 9mg and 12mg only, and Black Ice is only sold in the extra strong 60mg/g format.
Are SNÜ pouches tobacco-free?
Yes. SNÜ pouches contain pharmaceutical-grade nicotine, plant-based fillers, flavourings and pH adjusters. There's no tobacco leaf or stem in any pouch, and nothing is burned or inhaled.
Is SNÜ the same as snus?
No, despite the name. Real snus contains tobacco leaf and can't legally be sold in the UK. SNÜ is a tobacco-free nicotine pouch used the same way, tucked under the top lip, which is where the name comes from. Every SNÜ tub sold here is fully legal in the UK.
How many pouches are in a SNÜ tub and how long does one last?
Each SNÜ tub holds 20 slim pouches. A pouch releases flavour and nicotine for around 30 to 40 minutes, so how long a tub lasts depends on how often you use one. Most regular users get a few days from each tub.
How much do SNÜ nicotine pouches cost?
Every SNÜ tub is £3.95 at Alternix, whatever the flavour or strength. Buy any 3 tubs for £10 and the price drops to £3.33 per tub, and you can mix flavours and strengths within the deal. Orders over £15 get free next-day UK delivery.
Can I take SNÜ pouches on a plane?
Yes. SNÜ pouches are smokeless and discreet, so you can carry and use them at the airport and on board most flights. Check your airline's policy and the rules at your destination before you travel. Our flying with nicotine pouches guide covers the detail.
Do you offer next day delivery on SNÜ pouches?
Yes. Orders over £15 get free next-day UK delivery, and orders placed before 10pm are dispatched the same day, 7 days a week. All orders ship from our UK warehouse in child-resistant packaging as required under UK regulations.
